This Eggens Barley wine has matured for approximately 666 days in very old whisky barrels from a distillery from 1823. Barrels of a softer contemporary whisky, which is distilled three times before it goes into barrels to mature. This barrel maturation gives the beer a unique palette of flavours, because these barrels have not previously been used for the maturation of beer.
