This one-year aged release offers a compelling glimpse at the barleywine’s early character. The nose leans fruity and inviting, setting the stage for a palate where dark fruits and rich caramel notes share equal footing. Deep notes of toffee and cherry thread through the finish. Compared to the older vintages in this year’s series, the bitterness is slightly more pronounced, a hallmark of youth that gives this release a livelier, more assertive edge.
